    Terabyte Drives

Looking at getting a terabyte drive. Ultimate performance is not a factor. What is a factor is good warranty and good reliability.

I have discounted Maxtor as I had bad experiences with them and will never ever buy them again. This weekends Scan todayonly offers various drives with 5 yr warranties.

Theres the Seagate which at 81 GBP and another Seagate at just under 90 GBP. Then there are two WD's, the Caviar Black at 121 and the WD RE2-GP at 125. Is it worth paying the premium for the WD? The RE2-GP is enterprise class and meant to have hight MTBF but they all come with 5 yr warranties.

What are other members experience with these drives.

worth the extra premium. Never buy anything else, it its for holding data and important documents.

My vote goes for the Samsung F1, it's cheap and it's awesome (3 year warranty too).

What he said - it's a must choice for TB drives IMHO. Very fast, cheap, reliable and quiet.
    What more do you want?
