    Thanks,
Exactly - just make sure you have AHCI enabled in the BIOS, and install Windows as normal

I would try and at least get this motherboard:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-GA-.../dp/B009FC3YJ8

Its not much more, but has a 4+1 phase VRM with cooling.

Ideally you would want a 970 based motherboard, but that Gigabyte appears to be reasonably solid for normal usage.
    Hi Cat!

This is the motherboard I got, I changed it from the 760G as it looked bad in reviews: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157469

    Is it ok?

    Thanks

It has a worse VRM section,so this is why I suggested the Gigabyte since it has a more robust VRM and has VRM cooling.

If you look at the reviews on Amazon it seems reasonably competent and AFAIK it won't throttle with an FX6300 after looking at some posts on OcUK.

If you can expand the budget this one has a newer chipset which supports SATA3:

    Hi Cat,

I purchased the previous Gigabyte one you mentioned - I can't warrant the extra amount for the one above I'm afraid .

Thank you for all your help!

The psu is pants as well. It may have 450w on the label but is only capable of a max of 360w on it's two 12v rails. The 450W XFX Pro Core Edition is only a extra £1.11 extra and is a high quality Seasonic built unit that delivers 408w on its single 12v rail. Still not perfect but stronger than the Antec.

    pre built.... boooo

Probably best to get something running integrated graphics and go for a new GPU later down the line (really easy to fit)

Zoostorm are really cheap over at ebuyer but I'd be hesitant to suggest them due to reliability issues (though you really do get good bang for buck, even for under £400 you'll get a new i5)

Something like this may be decent (I know it's a smidge over budget but this seems to be one of the better deals for a prebuilt pc around right now):

If you had actually read the thread instead of just spamming a reply at the end you would have seen he ordered all the bits on the 5/10/14 so your a bit late to the party.
