When's the NDA lift? I've seen a couple of people claiming 9am EST, so 2PM here unless I'm confusing something with daylight saving time?

Looks like the US jump into daylight saving earlier than we hit BST - 12th March this year, so if it is 9am on the US east coast it should indeed be 2pm.

And they're up. It would be nice if retail prices weren't just a case of crossing out the $ and putting a £ though...

Nonetheless, I've started skimming reviews and they seem very tempting compared to an i5...

Exchange rate + VAT. It's more-or-less an accurate reflection of the price at the minute, give or take a few percent. And that's mid-market rates; I've seen consumer purchase rates below $1.20 to the £ recently, which actually make direct $:£ pricing cheaper in £...

    Re: Ryzen 5 review thread

That doesn't seem to be the case with either Intel's CPUs or Ryzen 7 though - both of those are more in line with what you'd expect, and it's not like the exchange rate has budged much recently either.

Edit: @scaryjim: Perhaps that's a result of all the software/BIOS/AGESA updates between the initial launch and today?

Hard to tell, although I'm sure they're a part of it. I also wonder if there's anything rolled into the Windows Creators Update, and also if power plans make any difference to the impact on SMT in gaming (one of the issues with parking in the Microsoft power plan is apparently that it parks everything but one core (i.e. using 2 threads)) - I'm not sure whether that was examined when people first started questioning the impact of SMT on gaming performance....
