    Help with first build!

I have a Chenbro Xpider II case, and an ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe mobo and now i've hit a big question mark!

The connectors from the front of the case (LEDs, power button, etc.) go in fine to the motherboard, except for one labelled GND.

I assume this is a ground wire, it is only one pin, but there are many places left on the motherboard panel!

Neither manual says about placing this - and i'm so close to finishing the build!
Any help and/or suggestions greatly appreciated!

Does your motherboard have front USB connectors? Other than that I can't think what it's from, you don't need a ground on the front pannel connectors, so just leave it out.

It does have a couple of usb, but they're separate - and already plugged in!
I just want to make sure if i leave it out it won't cause a big explosion.

Also, does anyone know a good place to attatch the grounding wire from the Tagen 480w PSU?
The manual says "on the mainboard" but seems a tad risky to me, so anywhere good on the case?

    Cheers

Well, I didn't put mine on the motherboard, I just attached mine to my motherboard tray. I've never used your Case before, so I don't know what it looks like, but just put it on the mobo tray (if there is one)

I put the grounding wire from the Tagan 480W onto one of the screws that holds an empty PCI slot in place. I think it should be fine so long as it is connected to the case.

I do the same. The wire can be (taped down and) kept out of the way with this method.

I ended up using the spare screw from the Tagan to attatch it to the case - and all seems well! Thanks for the advice.

I got a random problem with XP though. Something about D:\1386\asms and so i had to reinstall with another cd.

Typical that the hardware was fine - but good old microsoft couldn't resist kicking up a fuss!
