    installing a new mobo bios

    i see that i have a update for my Iwill kk266-R
    i dont know how to go about getting it to update the mobo to the latest bios

    any help will be great ful

    Download the bios, download the flash program.

    Create a dos boot disk.

    Boot into dos.

    Run the flash program with the bios filename as argument.

    Which ever your motherboard manufacturer provides/recommends.

    Some mboards come with a feature whereby you just need to copy the new bios to a disc - and then reboot and hold some key combination and the bios flashes itself. It should say in your manual if this is the case.

    yes my mobo boots up right i press alt and f2 and it says lookign for awdflash.exe on floppy A

    says it cant find that file on the floppy

    Simple, download the awdlash.exe from your mobo makers download site, should be easily linked from the bios download section. Or a zip containing it.
