    Price Check : Medion SIM2000 12.1inch Laptop

I am soon going to be selling my little SIM2000 computer as I am getting a Macbook. I am after a price check as to what I should expect to get for it.

This is what the computer looks like (not mine - not taken pictures yet).

    The Specs:-

CPU: Intel Pentium M Dothan 1.5GHz (2MB Cache). Upgraded this myself from the Celeron that was in it.
    Memory: 1GB
    Hard Drive: 60GB 5400rpm
    Screen: 12.1inch Widescreen 1280x800
Optical: 8x DVD Burner (NEC I think)
Networking: SIS 10/100, Intel 2915 Wireless Card (upgraded myself)
Graphics : SIS Shared from System memory upto 128mb
3x USB, 1x Firewire (4pin), PCMCIA, Built in modem. VGA

Is a nice little system. Very small and compact. The only damage is minor which is hard to explain. A plastic prong as broken off where it snaps into another piece on the computer. Its nothing major - and I can probably fix it.

    Prices?

you changed the cpu yourself...how tricky was that out of interest?

seems like a very tidy little package..how old is it and how much did you pay?

Being a medion I wouldn't hope for much but since laptops this size are very desireable you may get a good price.
I would actually try your luck around the £700 mark just to see if someone is feeling stupid

but really i'd ask for £500 and pray to be honest.

the entry spec dell xps m1210 can be had for around £800 at the moment and its better specced not to mention new with a good warranty.

well you never know what people would buy on ebay lol..

you're probably right though..it's difficult to gauge. Its not a bad spec and a good size but...i would never touch a medion..so who knows.

<cough> a lot of us bought this laptop for £299 from a hexus bargain alert, maybe you did too?
    Ultra portable laptop £299

Not sure you should be selling it for more than that on hexus for sale section, but I won't dump on your sale thread ...
