Question using different brands of memory on same motherboard

does using different brands of memory on same motherboard casue any problems or performance issues? I ask this as I already have 512mb of 2700 ram(I have an Abit AT7(333mhz) board) and want to get another 512mb but wonder if I have to get the same brand(I currently have 512 of corsair).

Are there also any problems using different speeds of ram ie 3200 with 2700?

Brands shouldnt cause a problem to my knowledge. Different speeds may however. I think it would depend on which slot you put them in.
    Shuttle SB61G2 - P4 3.2ghz - GeForce FX 5950 - 512mb Corsair XMS Pc3700 - WD Raptor 36.7GB 10KRPM SATA - WD Raptor 74GB 10KRPM SATA - DVD/CDRW Combo Drive - External DVD-RW Drive - Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 GMX - Stealthed DVD

slots shouldnt make any difference, if that solves anything its because the stick that doesnt like the speeds its at isnt the one being used often, because the first stick isnt full up...
make sure both sticks are runing at speeds and timings they like, www.memtest86.com might be usefull...

diff brands *shouldnt* be a problem, but some boards have been known to be picky about which brands will work in them. I used to run mixed brands of the cheap stuff and it worked ok so corsair shouldnt give any probs =)

dif speeds wont cause a problem either, so long as you put the slowest in the first memory slot. This will make both sticks run @ the slower speed.
