    Desk Mounts

Hi all, was wondering if anyone has a desk mount for their monitor( s ), I was planning on getting one of these...

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ergot...shed-aluminium)

This has come about as the wife can't stand the mess on my desk, the sheer amount of cables I have near my PC etc. is incredible and I believe getting one of these desk mounts would free-up a huge chunk of space on my desk.

For me, given the high aesthetic standard of the above mentioned mount, the amount of space this device will free-up and the fact it'll help make it easier to manage the number of cables associated with my monitor, the price tag isn't such an issue to me.

I was wondering if anyone on here who has can tell me of their experiences with it, thanks

The what? I thought desk monitor mounts where around £30-40. Not sure it's worth paying another 80 for something you can't even see because it's hidden behind your monitor

I used to run a humanscale m7. Superb devices, I got mine from dell from memory.

    Pics of the humanscale.

Means you can really clear off cables

I really need to get it on ebay as it's sat in the loft for ages.

    Re: Desk Mounts

Depends on what the monitor stand is like, but you can neaten your cables, just use some cable ties or velcro cable ties to bunch the cables together and you can keep monitor cables pretty neat http://www.scan.co.uk/products/5pcs-...ble-cable-ties

I'd go with this for a stand http://www.scan.co.uk/products/scanf...gle-adjustable my not be so pretty but as Kalniel said it's hidden behind the monitor anyway.

EDIT: Gordy's photo shows a good use of those akasa velcro cable ties, and how to cable tidy a desk.

For the most part you are right, however, at the moment, my desk and PC are in the corner of our living room for now so from the side it'll be visible.

I like the desk mount you have / had Gordy, but it looks very expensive, in any case, I have my heart set on getting the mount I linked to in my original post, thanks guys the responses

    Re: Desk Mounts

here's another option, show your wife the price tag on that monitor arm and she'll probably stop complaining about the mess
