Dominator fan - noisy after three weeks?

Wasn't sure this was quite the right place for a Dominator Fan question, but couldn't see anywhere better, so here goes:

Had one of these just coming up for a month now. PC it's on has been on the bench, so very low hours of use, and it is also throttled right down on an Abit FanEQ header - motherboard only reports it running at around 2000rpm under normal conditions.

Nevertheless, one of the three fans is now vibrating merrily on startup (sometimes goes away when the throttling kicks in, sometimes doesn't), while one of the others is also sounding a little noisier than it should.

Sounds like dry bearings, but the level of vibration on the one fan implies that the bearings are a little looser than they should be.

If it wasn't so new and such a well made piece of kit, I'd just lift the seal stickers on the fans and squeeze a drop of oil in. On the other hand, the fact that it is this new and is pretty well made makes me wonder if I got a bad one. Any suggestions on what to do Yellowbeard/Corsair?

    BH6, BX6 2.0, BE6, BE6-II 2.0, ST6-RAID, BE6-II 2.0 (again), BD7-RAID, BD7II-RAID, IC7-G, IC7 Max3, AB9 QuadGT, IX38 QuadGT. Glutton for punishment, obviously!

Rich, I am sorry you have this issue. Do not remove those stickers as that will in fact void the warranty. They are there to hold the oil inside the fan. Please set up an RMA with your vendor or directly through Corsair, your choice. We will be happy to replace your fan unit.

Thank you for choosing Corsair, let me know if I can help in any way.

yeah sounds like a faulty one, mine is happily running in my AB9 Pro throttled by FanEQ, must admit to being suprised as to how little noise it actually makes when throttled considering the size of the fans, air flow is still good, bargain buy if u ask me
