    Question TWIN2X2048-5400C4 Overclockable?

    Hi All,

Anyone had any experiance of overclocking these dimms? What sort of results could i expect? I'm planning on buying 2 of these kits, so 4x1gb sticks in a p5k deluxe and quad core xeon.

Any help with timings etc greatly appreciated,

    PoDd

If you are wanting to OC and to run with a 1333 FSB CPU I would not suggest this memory. You need to buy DDR667 or faster. I'd suggest DDR800 or faster if you intend to OC.

Well, I can't guarantee anything past PC5400 speeds. I have seen some users posting incredible OCs with the 5400 stuff. However, if you buy based on that alone, you may not get it to run that fast. I have no idea what retail is on the 5400 but the same reasoning applies. If you want to run faster than DDR667, buy DDR800 or faster. DDR800/PC6400 is dirt cheap these days.

    Re: TWIN2X2048-5400C4 Overclockable?

I used this RAM before using my current Dominator. I was operating it at 800 MHz @ 2.0 volt and ran so much benchmarks, it was very very stable ,

Also i was able to boot the PC at 1000 MHz with this RAM but windows was not stable,
