I think he's referring to retailers not having any in stock for sale, I've also noticed this.

    Re: UK stocks.

I currently have an outstanding RMA and its the ram i am waiting for.
Have had an email from the retailer stating there is a further delay.
    Now overdue since the 23/7/07.
Did not know if there was an issue anywhere?

Out of interest, i am running a asus command and so far i have had to replace 2 sets of these.
I am hoping that this time the motherboard will get swapped out and it will be the end of my problems.
Do you know of any issues with asus commando's killing ram at all?

I have not heard of any 965 chipset based MOBOs having issues with killing RAM. Let me know what happens after your RMA.

Looks like the ram is in so hoping that it should be with me tomorrow.
Motherboard is not being replaced, so i guess i am hopeing that i have have been unlucky and got 4 faulty sticks.
Strange thing to hope for but still......
Could any of the asus sub timings be the problem?
Will hope to get it together tomorrow and post back on here to see if you have any thoughts.
    Cheers for now.

    Re: UK stocks.

I can't see sub timings killing memory. Those would only cause instablilities. Heat and voltage are what will kill your memory. Good luck and let us know how the new gear works out.

    Re: UK stocks.

Dont think it will be the heat thing.
120mm side fan blowing over NB and memory with a 120mm front fan over the HD's and memory.
120mm push pull setup on the rad extracting with a 140mm fan in the psu extracting also.

As for voltage first set manually to 2.2V Died in 4 months. Asus probe (if you trust those readings) showed a 0.05 over volt.
So the next set i had running at 2.15V and these last 3 months.

See this from last time it all went belly up.
    Asus commando, still unwell.
    Cheers.

    Back up and running.
    Those sub timings:-
    DRAm write recovery 6
    DRAM TRFC 42
    DRAM TRRD 10
rank write to read delay 10
    read to preacharge delay 10
    write to precharge delay 11
    Running them at 880.
    Any ideas?

    Re: UK stocks.

We recommend leaving them at bios defaults, especially if it is stable. If you want to tweak sub timings, you are going to have to experiement some.
