    TWIN2X4096-6400C5C G (4GB) - one bad stick?

    Hello,

New PC build with the aforementioned 4GB RAM kit. I believe one of the sticks is bad because of the following:

    a) Insert both 2GB sticks - slots 1 & 3 - No POST.
    b) Insert single stick in slot 1 - POST, single beep, everything fine.
    c) Insert other single stick in slot 1 - No POST.

This is with standard default BIOS settings too.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds exactly like duff memory. Time for a RMA. If you could get the second stick to post at all you could prove its problem with Memtest, but seeing as you can't it sounds highly like duff memory.

    Thanks guys,

I sent it back to Scan on Friday and they tested it as faulty today.
