    Dishonored

I'm surprised this has not been mentioned yet. I bought the game on release day with a little scepticism about all the hype, but the hype was well placed !! Ok the graphics are not super amazing as in some other games, but the water colour graphics add the gameplay. Loving the different ways to complete each mission, and also the futuristic world it is set in. For me the gameplay is the major pull to the game, and it does not force you to kill all enemies allowing you choice. The voice acting has been well done as well which is something some games fall down on. As for it being a port to the pc that has not given me any errors at all, and the game runs very smoothly!

    Re: Dishonored

I'm considering it too as I'm a big Deus Ex / Thief type game fan. The grainy graphics thing and Bethesda link is making me wait so far though. There are a few rumours they might do a hi res texture pack for it, and I'd be annoyed if I played it without that installed (i.e. I'd more or less done with Skyrim by the time they issued the texture pack and fixed the worst bugs).

    Re: Dishonored

Is it open world (a la Skyrim) ? I found the recent Deus Ex to be quite dull despite all the freedom it promised.

i enjoyed the game, it isn't like skyrim, but its a fun game anyway, the low chaos playthrough feels more rewarding.

    Re: Dishonored

It is much more like Deus Ex than Skyrim, in that it isn't computer-RPG-ish. Sneaking involves controlling your position, fighting involves aiming. Right - off to start playing Deus Ex's Missing Link DLC. Happy Dayz

There are only two maps from where you start in the same place, and you do go through part of the mission the same way. But apart from 2 minor overlaps all the other maps are different. Just finished it and starting a stealth play through

Going to get this game soon, the game play looks awesome. What are some of the interesting ways you have found for dispatching enemies?

    Re: Dishonored

It's a brilliant game - the graphics are absolutely fine and you'd be depriving yourself of a wonderful experience by using that as yardstick as to whether to buy it.

You get the most out of the game by taking your time, investigating many different routes and solutions to the missions and (if you're really good) by not killing many people

I played it again as a homicidal maniac and it wasn't nearly as good..

    Cool Re: Dishonored

Got the game 3 days ago and beat the game an hour ago
Played first in normal difficulty and i got a sad ending because of high chaos . Its not easy playing it without killing anyone so i am gonna do it in easy mode .
And this is the only game i used "lean" keys a lot never used in other FPS games and the leaning and blink are awesome in dishonored .
Now i am waiting for its dlc in pc . AND the game rocks !
