I'm not sure what build you're using, but it seems hammers are bugged currently and only hit once. You can test easily against something big - hammer hits enemy and does damage, swirls round and hits enemy again but does no damage. Perhaps it's intentional, but either way ye olde hammerdin isn't great atm.

I've not started a Crusader yet, but I've got a few bits and pieces of leveling gear stashed and ready. I'm still having fun in adventure mode trying to get my Wizard back to where she was pre-RoS - farming T3 with ease.

I agree with alot of those points! Drm makes me sad! It is hard to not cave in when it's a game you really want to play/been waiting for or reminicing from years ago. Alot of the Dlc is appalling on some games, i do like how CDProjectred (spelling?) doesnt do any dlc, expansions but rather adds them to the game for free, oh and is Drm free on GOG (the witcher series) Although i haven't played any of them, i commend them on breaking the norm of today.

At least you got it alot cheaper than what it was normally!

    Re: Diablo III: Loot 2.0

OK, so I caved and bought Diablo III after however long wanting it... Mainly due to enjoying PoE but getting very annoyed trying to work out the skill tree and a few other things (like missing too often and the screen moving when opening inventory for example).

Up to level 19 as a Barbarian so far, playing on Hard and it's going pretty well. Only died once so far, not sure what caused it, I was alive then there was a few lines of light crossing my character from nowhere and I died.

Anyway, anyone wanna add me and group up in game? Dunno how grouping works yet, but willing to tag along with some of you "pro's" to learn the ropes.

BTW, I have levelled up the Blacksmith a few times, getting rather costly now. Can you level up by making stuff, or just by paying? Is it worth levelling him up? And does he stayed levelled up across all of your characters?

Arcane sentries. They're stewards of bars... At least since the patch there's now a lot more warning and even indication which way they'll spin, but you'll want to basically never touch them at all.

If you're in the same game, you're a group. You can just jump into a public game or be invited/invite others etc.

He stays levelled up, and it's mostly by paying. Sometimes there are items you need as well (I think - this sort of thing got wibbled in the patch). It's worth levelling him up only when your best character is high enough in level to use what he makes. Though I don't think it's that expensive anyway.

Grrr. I want to play D3 single player, so why do I have to wait in a Battlenet queue for 80 minutes... Unbelievable.

That's not *always* true - http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/countess-julias-cameo Of course you've got to find one before you can be excited about frikkin' lasers.

LOL awesome! I'm loving some of these new drops, there are some quite fun effects. Currently using an item that adds gold picked up to my armour value, together with an item that causes enemies to drop gold on hit - together with a good pick up radius and my armour can skyrocket.

    Re: Diablo III: Loot 2.0

So far, I have put in around 9 hours of play into D3. I am really liking it! Got to Act II with my Barbarian now, but despite playing him for around 8h 30m I am only level 26.

Now this isn't a big deal to me, I am having fun. But, I am reading of people levelling 1-60 in 5-6 hours, so I wonder if I am doing anything wrong. I guess they are alts with really good gear or something, but I just don't see how it's possible unless they are getting 10 times the amount of XP I am getting, or they are one-shotting everything because although I clear every mob and every dungeon and check every square inch of each map I enter, is it really slowing me down that much?

So, my question is, should I worry about how slow I am levelling, or should I enjoy my time getting to max level (whatever that is) and then gear up an alt for a faster level up?

    Re: Diablo III: Loot 2.0

A lot of people are levelling very quickly by getting boosted by high level people, there is also gear, rings and gems that give +% EXP and of course if they have good gear waiting for alts they are going to kill things quickly.

I play like you and do 100% map completion and got my Wizard to level 34 in about 7 hours without using any gear given from my monk (only 52 before I stopped playing D3 month after release). It helps playing on Expert (solo) or Master (in a public game) to get the bonus XP and a bit more of a challenge

    Re: Diablo III: Loot 2.0

Definitely take your time and enjoy it! I don't understand the desire to powerlevel unless you are doing it to join an existing group of high level players. A lot of the fun in Diablo is reaching that next level with it's new skills and access to different items - fly through them too fast and you're missing that anticipation/reward. High level play is just about the items .
