Me a MrJim enjoying a round of golf.
Anyone else playing this and not in the Hexus crew? You can be in multiple so don't have to leave your current one. We need more people for heists! I'm actually going to look for another to join for heists, but I don't know where to start. I wouldn't want to join a mass invite crew, but I doubt I would be accepted into a "hardcore" one. Anyone have any suggestions? I would like to go for Elite Challenges and maybe even one day the Criminal Mastermind (extremely hard) Challenge.

The golf was great fun - & at least I could actually play it reasonably well, which is more than can be said for my tennis skills!

Just unlocked Trevor and awesome. So far. Not been getting much gaming in due to decorating ( damn you Mrs Burnout) game keeps crashing a lot too for me.
Quite a decent way into the story now, starting the "big one" soon I think. I've got my performance mostly stable now, driving during daytime still hits my FPS but I find its not too problematic as long as it doesnt go under 40 which only rarely happens.
Enjoying the game so far though, though the phone is a disappointment again. I didn't play much of 4 due to getting it from someone close to release and never feeling like going back after seeing the lazy pc version but from what I played, the phone was only useful during story, rest of the time nobody picked up. Seems to be the same this time round too, cant have idle chatter with any of the characters, little errands for people would be a nice distraction too perhaps. Unfortunately the only depth to it outside of when its used in the story is listening to people's answer phone messages and finding the quite silly ones (Tracey clearly hasn't heard of a workphone, or forgot that Michael knows her number)
Must say I am surprised by how hard some of the options push things.
Tried with most things maxed out (nothing at all changed in advanced graphics) and it was like a slideshow on a GTX780@1080p60!
That's after having to download from torrents as the official download was way too slow and then not being able to run the game until I figured out that the launcher just flat-out crashes if any of your Windows profile is redirected!!!
Only played the prologue so far..........was a bit too wound-up by all the hassle getting it downloaded, running and tweaked.

Well just finished the game, was certainly fun. Still gotta play through the other 2 endings but the game is being fussy about loading the saves, shouldve just saved each individually rather than backing them up to a different folder.
I don't think the game handled diversions as well as SA, tbh I haven't touched Yoga or food or any of the other diversions the games has to offer, I haven't felt like I really needed it whereas it had genuine use in SA. Perhaps thats just because I didn't use it and so didn't find out though.
Once I finish the other 2 endings I'll give online a try, maybe join up to the clan if I'm enjoying it enough to play more of it.
Do your dailies!
I was discussing dailies with erudito87 the other day, advised him it's worth doing as there's bonuses for doing them on consecutive days. So I decided to work out how much you get in total. When you do your dailies you get $25k and 3k RP, do them for a week and you get a $100k and 15k RP bonus, for a month it's $500k and 50k RP. There's also a $10k bonus for 10 in a row, $20k for 20, $50k for 50 and $100k for 100.
If you do 100 days of daily objectives in a row, you will get £5,580,000 and 660,000 RP in total.
So, do your dailies!
Gave online a bit of a try but I think I'll pass on it personally. Seems to have a few different features but for the most part I play things solo so other than the extra functions with property and stuff I dont think I'd get much of a different experience to Story mode.
That said, seems to be pretty good other than the long loading screens, seems like if someone else in your mission loads slowly it forces you to wait (had this happen in the tutorial and was sat waiting for about 10 minutes for a guy to load.
Yeah, loading and grouping are HUGE issues with online right now. I just hope they are working on fixes. So many times I have failed a heist because people leave, or it doesn't load, it's not funny. And when that happens, you get minutes of waiting for it to load back in to free roam only to start the whole process again.
Other than that, it's extremely good fun. Really enjoy playing golf, driving around aimlessly and doing heists (when they work).
