    Go Pro - Skiing Holiday

Just looking for some advice, I'm heading away 18th Jan.

I'll be using my Go Pro 3 [Black Edition] alot, due to storage issues. Would I be best to purchase a Netbook that will allow me to hook up my 1TB hdd and transfer footage and pics from Camera to HDD via netbook??

And does anyone have any tips for me when using the Go Pro in cold weather?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I've had issues with my GoPro Black stop working if I'm using the WiFi. So turn that off, might last longer.

I use my Surface RT to offload all the images to a USB HDD. It has a build in micro SD reader and well being a windows tablet means I can easily do something like copy files.

However, I'd be tempted to just buy a few large micro SD cards. I mean you aren't going to have anything interesting 90% of the the runs, and you'll know it. So a few spare cards and just format them on the GoPro.

For cold weather there isn't much to be aware off. Even in -25C I had mine still keep going when all other tech around me was failing (battery life is shorter though!) - just don't open it when on the slopes, you will get some moisture in the case which will lead to fogging or freezing on the lens.
