Sony RX100 III previews

It seems to come with a wider lense(finally!) and a pop-up EVF.

Odd that they are not letting you go smaller than f2.8.

TBH I am not that excited about a small non-changable lens camera, unless it can replace my phone. For me it's in that akward spot, between "carry a proper camera" and "carry just a phone".

The RX100 fits in my jeans pocket, neither a proper camera or smartphone do!

Something like my S95 is much smaller than my dSLR and wide angle zoom,and I kind of noticed it when scrambling up a very steep rocky hill(technically an English mountain I suppose). To avoid my my dSLR(even with a holster) banging into rocks I needed to put it my rucksack. I ended up just using the S95 instead as I could take it out of my side pocket,take some pictures on a ledge and continue upwards.

Although,TBH I would probably prefer a Ricoh GR Digital.

My RX100 fits in my front pockets fine. A DSLR obviously doesn't, while a typical smart phone is too long/wide.
