    Question A3 Printer for Photography

I'm looking to buy an A3 printer that will be used solely for my freelance photography business. I've never really looked into purchasing my own printer as I have always just used third-party companies to do my printing for me. Are there any fine details that I need to be aware of before making my decision on what printer to buy?
I've always had Epson printers as my standard A4 home printers, but brand isn't such a big deal. Looking around the £150 mark, give or take.

    Thanks for reading

It's been a while since I looked as it just wasn't worth me doing it myself for the limited prints I did, but... I'd say you'd have to up that budget by at least 2/3 times.

We had an Epson Stylus Photo R3000 in the office a while ago that produced some good results.

You might get lucky and find say a epson r2880 for that second hand.

Realistically, you are going to want to up your budget a bit.

Upping my budget could be done, I'm actually receiving a job grant from the government in order to set up "business" and that totals up to around the £500 mark. i was looking to grab a few more lenses too, but I'd rather pay for quality as oppose to quantity

A set of inks for a good A3 printer costs around £100 anyway.

It depends on what kind of quality you are needing to deliver.

And as these epsons everyone (myself r2880) loves have built in heads. Buy bad ink and you've bricked the printer. No idea how well cheap ink will last etc. You end up buying the branded ink.
