    last gig i was shooting i was playing around ISO 800 F4 and still 1/60 exposure time.

    I dont think ive ever gone slower than 1/40 on ISO1600 F4 at a gig.

    I wasnt saying the photo i posted was dark

    Do you find you look less about what people are doing and pay more attention to the lights?

    since i got into photography, i kinda look at everything in terms of light these days

    not but you thought that the venue i was shooting was

    its all about the composition and action of the performer first, and exposure second, some gigs have more movement than others and its being prepared for whats going to come next..

    Have to say mmh, I do prefer the lightened image... definately has more impact now

    A few experimental "snaps" I took today with my new Canon 300d
    Not really had chance to play with it properly yet.... so these were just taken on Auto, but fairly pleased so far! Looking forward to spending some time with it taking some proper shots and seeing what it can do
    More posts imminent I'm sure!
