    if you like dark photos, i don't know why you didn't just stick with the fujifilm..

    haha, you can just smell the BS cant ya? ah well, it beats not having anything there i suppose...

    as for the fujifilm... it lacked RAW function, adaptability in lenses and not enough pixels.

    It's actually of a Photonic Crystal, what your looking at top down, is a 50nm layer of Ni, then a layer of silica about 500nm then a silicon trench (or waveguide) then back to silica and silicon at the bottom as a strong back bone for it all.

    The Ni is metallic, the Silica is transparent and the Silicon is highly reflective, but has a oily purple colour to it. Next time I'm in the clean room I'll try and get a snap of it. I'll try and get some more pictures like this of my future experiments if you guys want. Can't guarantee how artistic they are going to look though.

    I cant actually crop the picture above as its on a "phtoo a day" site which starts getting arsy if you take them down edit and re-upload, but i will take it into consideration for the other places i have it *thumbs up*
