No idea - assume it's some sort of jelly fish and not actually that old seeing as it's limestone / sandstone. It was about the size of a football and I just liked the detail and the contrast against the black rock underneath... Down at Kimmeridge (seeing as you're a local). There were some mad looking rocks down there - some of them looked like balls of paper:

(it looks overly photoshopped to bring out the detail but if memory serves all I did was tweak the levels.. will see if I can find the original pic)

Yup - I'm told it's called pulpit rock... One from the other side (taken into the sun and 'shopped afterwards to bring some detail out in the rock):

Ruggerbugger - the wood shavings look really similar to sand dunes or something, from above. I like the contrast of the blue dust, too.

The rocks in Kimmeridge look crazy! Weird type of erosion. You're right Malfunction, they do make a really interesting photo

Bobster, did the guitarist actually have a pink guitar, or is it just the lighting? Great pic btw, love the mist and the concentration.

Well there didn't seem to be an awful lot there apart from mad rocks and sea - though it was a bit of an on and off rainy day so I may have missed something

Going to start posting here when I can, could always do with some CC

edit: I'm not sure how of this looks on other monitors - my CRT doesn't calibrate properly and this looks slightly oversaturated, but on the TFT the colours are slightly washed. It's not heavily PPed, just levels/resize.

    Three panoramas from this week:

From about half way up Ben More.

From about 3/4 the way up.

    And on the summit.

See here for more details: First two Munros bagged
