    plastic fantasic?probably the best lens canon make for the money!

    Please, Don't ask for that one 'as a desktop'...its really not worth wasting your time asking, unless you're able to pay £££?

    Yeah but I still prefer the f1.4

    I've not seen anything faster than f/1.2.

    Canon did a f/0.95, but that was for the Canon 7 rangefinder I think.
    Nikon did a f/0.9 back in th day too. Canon also did an EF f/1.0 50mm, which isn't made now, but would probably still work with some new cameras Leica also make/made a f/1.0 50mm lens.


    The fastest I've got is a f/1.4, but I prefer the contrast/sharpness I get from the f/2.0

    the Canon 50 1.0 would work with current camera cause it's EF mount. I think I've read about f0.5 lens somewhere
