Mysterious orb on wedding pic!!?? What is it?

Hmmm, now I've watched Most Haunted a few times and always wondered what those strange orbs are, then lo and behold:

Any explanations?

My first reaction: dust or moisture. However, I did see quite an interesting tv programme on these 'orbs' and they had the head of one of the big camera firms who said he didn't know what all of them were and for various technical reasons (which I don't know/remember) he said they definitely weren't all dust/dirt/moisture and that he couldn't explain a good proportion of them.

Evidence of paranormal phenomena or a man trying to cover-up a design flaw in his product? You decide!

I'm a natural skeptic *but* I did once see a couple of weird orb-like things in my house. It was late, I was walking along a corridor and two golf-ball sized lights suddenly went whizzing by me. They were very pale and looked a bit like slightly illuminated cigarette smoke - I've no idea what they were (and I'm not saying they were 'orbs' in the sense that they're supposed to be spirits and the like) but I definitely saw them (whatever they were) so I keep an open (but largely skeptical outlook) on such things!

Not dust. Could be paranormal. I have photographed quite a few in my time. Can't explain them really.

I have had them whizzing about when i have used my Camcorder!! Fast, slow, different shapes!! No way is it dust!!

Strange though, there are about 80 pics, but no others have marks on them.

It could be dust, pollen, a hair or anything reflecting light - or even proof of life after death.

Until we get a ghost popping up and telling us what they are it's all guess work

As for Most haunted.... please, watch ghost hunters instead. These guys try to debunk 'everything' and don't get possessed every 2 minutes - but there have been a few episodes where strange things have happened both on camera and also on the digital audio recorders that they cannot explain.

It could be lens flare. This is what happens when light that is not part of the scene (eg sunlight) hits the lens at an oblique angle, bounces around the various lens elements and ends up as a shape on the final image.

Another possibility is that it was a spec of dust in the air that happened to be close to the lens when the flash went off. It appears illuminated and out of focus because it was so close.
