New Canon dSLRs
Amazon have apparently let the cat out of the bag on two new dSLRs from Canon.
The much anticipated 40D and the 1Ds Mark III. 40D - http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/19/a...anons-eos-40d/
1Ds Mark III - http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/19/c...thanks-amazon/
Been looking forward to the 40D, would be a hell of an upgrade from my 350D Last edited by Funkstar; 19-08-2007 at 12:14 PM.. |

Re: New Canon dSLRs
Oh no...that's not good. I was just working towards justifying a new lens and got sidetracked looking at the 30D as an upgrade to my 10D, and now there's a 40D?
I think my 10D is only rated for 50,000 exposures, and I'm going to be pushing that soon.... $1300? Lets hope the dollar goes belly up, and that'll be totally affordable by the time I'm in a position to buy... |

Re: New Canon dSLRs
I guess i don't need to worry about the number of exposures on my 350D then. Only aproaching 6,000 since October 2005.
A 5D would be *really* nice with its full frame sensor, but that would mean getting new wide lenses as mine are EF-S. There is also speculation of a 5D replacement in the next year too. |

And I think you're confusing avarice for panic....

Re: New Canon dSLRs
1dsmkiii...wow, thats some piece of kit...quite unjustifiable right now but hey, maybe in a couple of months!
Please, Don't ask for that one 'as a desktop'...its really not worth wasting your time asking, unless you're able to pay £££?

Re: New Canon dSLRs
had the camera a year and was shooting Duxford Flying Legends and bam, shutter went crazy!
£217.00 and a week later had a new shutter, just in time to do 2 weddings or i'd have been shooting with 1 camera..
