Some work from my Graphic Design course...
Haven't posted anything on here for yonks, so thought I may as well !
These are a few pages from a project I did before the summer, based on George Orwell quotes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pretty generic really, but I'm still learning

Interesting, but as you say generic....and lacks any polished/produced feel. I think your use of black could have been better arranged, and a lot of this would have been considerably darker in feel if the text had been white on a black background.
I'd suggest having a look at your fonts as well....for something like orwell quotes I'd have used a distressed typewriter font, although something more contemporary such as the one you've used could also make a statement, with a little work on character spacing and placement. I really like the crushed 'forev-er' in the first picture. Conveys a real sense of brutality and violence, but I'd have had the 'stamping' in capitals, and a lot closer to the bottom section. And the flying speechmarks are a great touch. |

IMO they're all good except the big brother one, I would make the George Orwell name stands out a bit more though
