    Details starting to leak out as the press launch is supposedly tomorrow:

    11 focus zones,

    25mm 0.9x pentaprism
    921,000 pixel 3" LCD,
    exposure +- 3EV

    Appears to be EOS40D level -~£900

    to be honest i didnt really like the a100, but i still thought it was a pretty good camera, but in the DSLR market its really hard to compete with Canon and Nikon

    I think it is interesting from a competition point of view. The more models available at the diffeent price points the more likely we are to see some bargains and deals being offered.

    If you weren't so used to Canon's way of doing things (menu layouts etc.) perhaps you might have had a different opinion?
    I certainly prefer the A100s handling to the EOS 400D but I'll admit that the 400D has the better AF system.
