The ones that didn't make it...
I'm sure all of those who entered the Macro comp took more than one shot... post the ones that you eliminated from entering... I'm sure there will be some good ones!
![]() Mine were these... I wasn't sure they were quite "macro" enough. ![]()
![]() I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking. |

Re: The ones that didn't make it...
See the chess piece photo was one I was trying to do but the DOF was just too small when i turned my lens round and was only getting like, the eye of the knight or something equally as rubbish.
Note to self: next purchase macro lens.

Re: The ones that didn't make it...
with macro lenses, if you want more DoF you have to do something called stacking - which involves taking multiple photos of the same thing but at differnt focal points and then you put them all together to get a higher DoF

Re: The ones that didn't make it...
Put it simply, set camera up on tripod, focus on subject, then change focal points to cover all the points you want to be sharp. Then combine the pics, I use a software called CZM i think, I need to find something easier to use. And keeping the camera perfectly still so the pics come out similarly is a challenge itself
