    yeah bin around a while

    have to say i really don't like the button positions on the Sony, m8's wife has one and its a pig to use, and the pictures above ISO800 are just teribble, looks like my 20D on 3200..

    Personal opinion on ergonomics though, Bob .
    You are a dedicated Canon man so it's different from what you are used to same as I find Canon worse than Minolta/Sony because that's what I am used to.

    The A100 outresolves other DSLRs using the same sensor on low ISO but trades that for more noise at higher - it's a balancing act.
    The later ones have shifted the balance slightly up.

    sony announced a hi-res ff camera some time ago as being in development with expected release some time later on this year...possibly in time for the olympics?
