How to remove dust from my shots?
basically was playing around with the camera, and i shot a few pics just inside my room at different apertures.
I startet f/3.5 then f/11, then f/16 then finally f/22 when reviewing them on the pc, the pic at f/22 was SO SO dirty (like you could see dust marks) in comarison to the one at f/3.5 now i know that is fairly normal and to be expected, but is there any way to reduce the dust marks. I even tried cleaning the lenses with a microfibre cloth and the shutter.. i've installed the canons software disk and thought there was a program in there that helps eliminate this, but i couldnt find it. I also tried dust delete data, but it said "could not obtain the data" here is the pic at f/22: ![]() Many Thanks |

Re: How to remove dust from my shots?
how about taking a pic of a non-textured object, paper for example, so we can see the full extent of the dust, so you've done a sensor clean? (have you got some lens cleaning solution?

Re: How to remove dust from my shots?
which f stop did you start noticing the dust?
you could do your own sensor clean, a budstick and some lens cleaning solution (but be carefull you don't scratch the glass covering the sensor!) |

Re: How to remove dust from my shots?
question:
see all these dust marks; are they the result of dust on my lens... or dust on my sensor.. because surely, if they were as a result of dust on the sensor, the dust would be in all pictures, not just pictures with low apertures. |

Re: How to remove dust from my shots?
easy way to find out for sure if you have another lens, swap & take some more photos.
Compare the shots from the 2 lenses. The smaller aperture will make dust spots more obvious than wide. Luminous Landscape Forum -> Test shots after dust removal; why small aperture? |
