    Adding HDR to images

    Hi all.

I am curious, could I take an ordinary image from a game, say a JPEG image or PNG and ADD HDR to it I am sure I have heard of this being done, but I am not sure wether it is internet fable or fact.

    Re: Adding HDR to images

Technically you can't 'add' HDR to a photo as it requires three photos exactly the same except for the levels of exposure. HDR makes cool pictures because you're combining all the best levels of individual elements to make sure everything looks super real.

However, you could take a jpeg, mess around with three different versions, and then combine them into a type of HDR. It wouldn't give the same effect as a true HDR pic, but it would give you an interesting result.
