    Egypt

Next stop, Egypt. Incredible place, full of old stuff. It's everywhere. I kinda assumed it'd be like Rome, mostly fairly new, with occasional clusters of ancient, but no, it's all over the place.

I won't bore you with the hundreds of family shots. Here's ones I thought worth showing.

also on the pic labelled "Smaller than it looks"
is that 3 patches of dust , which i presume is from dust on the sensor as i see the same spots of dust in the pic labelled "Big Pile 'O Rocks Pt I"

Yeah, it's on loads of IBM's shots. The fountain one in the other set for example. They can all be easily cloned out, or added to create an illusion

rjkp ... thanks for that, hadn't noticed. Did a shutter lock up and cleaned the sensor, seems to have sorted it out. Funny that it had marks on the sensor since it was new out of the box and I'd only changes lenses once since I got it.

Jay .... I didn't get out of Cairo, was only there for two nights, but it's an incredible place. I've had friends go on the Nile cruise and they said it was fantastic. Where abouts were you going to stay for a week?

quite alot of cameras come with dust on sensor. I admit its quite poor by the manufactures, but maybe they arent assembled in dust free areas.
Maybe cos u were in egypt, and its quite dusty, dust can easily get in when changing lenses.
