Holibobs in Malham, Yorkshire
Lovely place - thought we'd take a few photies for everyone to look at
![]() Went for a walk on the Tuesday, up through Gordale Scar, onto the top of the limestone, and round to Malham Cove, which used to be a ruddy great waterfall, bigger than Niagra.. In the valley, just before the start of the Scar, there's a lovely little waterfall, that farmers used to use for washing their sheep in Called Janet's Foss. Sweet little walk through the trees with the waterfall at the end:![]() Halfway up the scar - the waterfall's coming through a square window in a hard rib of rock stretching right across the gorge - it looks like Lynds has been pasted in, but it's just the flash going off ![]() ![]() Then as you get to the top of Malham Cove - remembering that it used to be over 6 foot deep where you're standing (thousands of years ago mind ) there's a wonderful feature in the limestone.. the exposed stone has been broken apart by frost and the rain, and forms pillars called "klints" right up to the edge.. they aren't very far apart, but slip and you've broken your ankle....![]() Here's the view over the edge of the cove.... said it was big didn't I? ![]() ![]() Then on Wednesday, I got taken pony trekking... I've never been on a horse in my life.. thought I was going to be led, but oh no, I had to bleeding drive it too ![]() ![]() Later on in the week, we went to the falconry centre at Settle.. it was a bit cold to be taking photos, so here's the best one we got.. haven't got a clue what sort of bird it is, but it was a bigun, with a beak and stuff... ![]() All the pics were taken with a Fuji Finepix A120, on automatic cos we're both lazy

Please, Don't ask for that one 'as a desktop'...its really not worth wasting your time asking, unless you're able to pay £££?
