Lake Ullswater from Hallin Fell (360 degree panorama)

Went up to the north Lake District at the weekend with my girlfriend and some friends. While out walking i took some shots and stitched them together using the excellent Panorama Factory.

Take a look here (Quicktime required); http://uk.geocities.com/domrevans/ullswater.mov

You might need to download it to your PC before viewing it due to the stupid way Yahoo Geocities work. Try downloading using this link http://uk.share.geocities.com/domrevans/ullswater.mov if the other does not work. Geocities is damn wierd, i must find a better host.

Use the mouse cursor to 'click-drag' and rotate the image 360 degrees.

If anyone want's a guide on how to do these i will post a quick guide.

UPDATE : WORKING LINK - http://www.matt-dickins.co.uk/ullswater.mov Big thanks to matt for the hosting. I will get some sorted myself soon!

unfortunately 'page unavailable for viewing' comes up...

thats a great idea though...nice find. perhaps in a month or so (a few compo's time) we'll have a panorama challenge...

Please, Don't ask for that one 'as a desktop'...its really not worth wasting your time asking, unless you're able to pay £££?

Anyway, as for the 360 panorama you need to right click the second link in my orginal post and 'save link as' downloading it to you PC. Could anyone host this file or suggest some better free hosting for this kind of thing? Thanks

Glad you like it. I'm going to start a little project going soon, i have come up with a great idea of how to use these. I'm pretty sure no-one has come up with the idea before, at least not exactly what i plan to do (most people just use them for hotel/real esstate tours). If i can pull it off it should be very cool and even possibly be a little money earner too. I will post more details once i get it off the ground some time in the future

    Very nice!

I've used Panorama Factory quite a lot but never created any 360deg movies with it (at least not yet), good to see how they come out. http://www.panoramafactory.com/ in case anyone is interested
