Some Holiday snaps
I went to the Peak District in the UK and it was really good. Got some great pics of the awesome scenary. Hopefully next year I can afford to go abroad
![]() If anyone's seen "Pride and Prejudice" (only one reason to watch it - Keira Knightley ) then this is the house used as "Pemberley": home of Darcy. Its called chatsworth house. Nice light effect^ Big ass Valley I went up in a cable car to get to. Had a mine in there too ![]() And another walk we went on in a "Dale". Pretty good scenary ![]()

I think there might be too much blue, and notice the halo effect ofer the trees in the back ground...try touching the contrast on the orginal...in PS you can select a colour shift by going image>adjustments>variations
...see how that works kempez: whats the contrast setting in you camera when you took these? turning it right down often helps reduce a blown out sky.
Please, Don't ask for that one 'as a desktop'...its really not worth wasting your time asking, unless you're able to pay £££?

fuji sensors are pretty good at the dynamic range so it should be possible to get the blue sky and a decent light on the ground...

Cool I'll have a go. The sky was pretty grey at times though so some shots are just what I saw. Still like the one with my fiance in it - that place was lush

Watch your exposure! Although these are hard scenes going from dark to very light... A lot of people think that they must must must frame with the sky, but why not try a few where you use the zoom (2 legged zoom is just as good!) to lose the sky?
I think exposing for the sky on the 5th shot works nicely, but I'm not so sure about it on the 3rd, you've lost a lot of detail in the trees. Not bad though overall! |

Have been pondering getting some filters to play with taking landscape shots. Bit of an article HERE about filters and digital cameras. Was thinking along the lines of a grad ND and a polarizer.
