    VJing

Does anyone here know anything about VJing? I was thinking of giving it a try. For those who don't know, it's video DJing, where you kinda mix a bunch of images together, usually to music, as a kind of sensory backing. If anyone does, can you recommend me a freeware program to use to splice the vids together? Thanks

virtual dub does all the video editing you need, splitting, joining.

but you need to know that the new file will be re-encouded which results in less quality

of course if you use uncompressed video files as your source images you only lose information on the final cut, which you then compress...?

(you just need a lot of hard drive space!)

Ideally you want to be able to mix the vids on the fly. Check out Arkaos - not freeware, butyou get a 30 day trial. Is about the best you'll find I think.

I'm thinking more moving images, maybe a bit of manga, bit of old film footage, that kind of thing
