Nice pictures everyone, I had to look through the photos a few times to make a decision.
Nick, Is it appropriate for you to have an entry in a compition you're running? Think about you anouncing that you had won your own compition... I think there is a reason why comanies ban their emplyees from their competitions. While I don't think you would intentionaly cheat it is possible that subconciosly you would choose a contest that you knew you were good at. |

Totally understand your point on this one. I however did not pick the type of contest we used for this challenge someone else did in the other thread
![]() Oh and I will make it so that everyone can see who voted and for which picture so you can tell I did not vote. If you all want though I will withdraw my entry if needed...... |

I personally think that they're all great (though mine seems to be missing - sent you a message regards that Nick!) and am having difficulty chosing. In terms of subject matter the whole thing is very much based on how the photographer interprets the title, there are no hard and fast rules as to how this should be done, and I find it hard to think that Nick would seek to gain advantage over the rest of us. In short - we're all winners because it's an opportunity to gain constructive feedback from others about our photgraphy. I'm still learning the dSLR trade and am keen for this feedback, competitions like this give me a great opportunity to obtain this. Sorry if I missed the point, but I just wanted to get this off my chest. |

Aren't the pics supposed to be presented anonymously?
I for one have no problem with Nick putting his own picture in. As mentioned previously, there'd hardly be any reason to cheat, and the poll results are fairly easy to check.... |

Nick ... want to put a link up in General? These comps never seem to get the recognition they deserve, and I'm sure plenty of the other users who never make it into here would surely like to vote.

some good photos there, i voted nick in the end, although it was a toss up between his and BenW's. Ben's is a good photo, but i just see too many drops of water, thats what tipped it for me in the end
GDVS' also was top notch, but i just don't feel that it fully highlighted the loss of focus as well as the others |

i'd just like to point out that the "loss of focus" was in both my sobriety and my photo heh. I was increadibly drunk and brandishing my camera about like a looney at this gig hence the er...nice effects
(this was the only one that actually had a whole person in it )
