    Sub £100 digital camera.

Im looking for a digital camera <£100 for my brother.

I have no idea about anything to do with cameras only computers.

    Does anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks.

*sry if this should be in the shopping part. seemed to be a more logical idea to put it in here*

    2nd hand or last year's stock! Here's a start:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Konica-Minolta...em110045278979

I've always fancied one of those - antishake is a great technology and it looks rather sexy - the rest of it is apparantly well up to scratch with the latest firmware installed. The company ceased selling cameras, warranties taken over by Sony (dunno if that's a good or a bad thing...) so their compacts are going cheap atm

I'm sure others will have their favourites.

You're in luck the Canon A530 is at its cheapest on Amazon - just under £96 delivered.

It's 5 megapixels and has 4x optical zoom (forget digital zoom)
It has auto and full manual controls and the optics on Canons are legendary!

This unit uses standard AA batteries so he can buy a charger and rechargable AAs and it uses cheap SD cards.

You can check out reviews from the numerous sources HERE

The Fuji A500 isn't a bad camera either however, its build quality and screen are not on par with the A530 mentioned above.

Alternatively look for an entry level Li-ion based camera like the Sony W50 or older Canon ixus range of cameras on ebay.

if you can stretch a tiny bit further you could get a nice fuji f10 or f11 refurb?

edit: lots of other pretty decent sub £100 fuji official refurbs in there too...might need to get the mem card separately though
