    shooting stars

after having a play with the telescope and looking at the andomeda galaxy i decided to do some more star trial shots as i've been meaning to do some for ages

the trouble with these kind of shots is in how to process them so here are 2 versions of the best shot i took tonight

    shot was iso 200, 18mm, f4.5 for 14 minutes

    version 1

    version 2

here's the original jpeg from the camera to give you an idea what light pollution does , tho i think there may have been some thin high cloud which does not help

Wow how do you take these? Just point and leave on a long exposure?

thats about the gist of it. you pointed the lens in the right direction to get the rotation pretty much dead centre, nice

Please, Don't ask for that one 'as a desktop'...its really not worth wasting your time asking, unless you're able to pay £££?

I went to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt (got back 4 days before the latest terrorist attacks there) and the night sky out in the desert there is something special!
