I've been out of London for the past four days at my girlfriends parents. They have got four cats, below are the best snaps from the bunch.

    C&S please

    roffle @Craig321 & BFC

Original photos look very cool also, I haven't any clue about photography, so i'll leave constructive comments to those better informed than myself.

Did you take them in black and white or greyscale them afterwards in photoshop (or similar)?

Cracking shots (note to self: keep saving for new lens )

The D50 doesn't let you take pictures in B&W

I used the mixer in Photoshop to change them into B&W

The light behind the last two reminds me a bit of Herman Leonard's jazz shots. There was a program about him and his work and hurricane recovery in New Orleans a couple of nights ago.

I was pretty keen on the light as well, I think it only works well with animals though as it highlights the fur.

Cool pics, with the first two shots I'd be tempted to try them with the camera lower down ( if possible ) to get more of a cat's eye view perspective

I think thats the best way to do it. My uni lecturer insists we dont use black and white modes on cameras for our work.

    Nice shots Nick.

I love the 4th one. It's like they are looking out for something.
