    Trip to Regents Park

Went down to Regents Park yesterday here in London and captured the following pictures, so glad I have finally managed to learn how to do the slow-mo water shots.

Also got stopped by a police man asking if I was taking pictures for commercial gain, he said you can only take pictures in Royal parks if your a student or its your hobbie.

    Comments please

Love 1 & 4 (shame on you for only just perfecting the slow shutter water shot... - ach, who am I kidding, I've never done one).

I like the weeping willow shot, although I think the sepia kills the details on the branches.

The two birdie portraits I'm not so hot on, but only 'cause I'm personally bored to death of animal shots after sorting through all my images for ones worth printing (I've got hundreds of birds, bovines, insects and other assorted creatures). Still, the second one has great light and lovely bokeh.

I try to never cut a picture like that though, seeing a neck disapear just leaves me feeling the picture is incomplete.

I never knew the commercial gain rule for royal parks. Man, I've been slating the americans for the not allowing people to sell pictures of national parks for commercial gain, and it's the same over here....shocking.

I used the shutter prioirty mode for these pictures, between 4 - 8 seconds depending on the shot. The aperature was set at f/22.

Really nice water shots. Can't help but be reminded of those terrible electronic waterfall things you sometimes get in restaurants and takeaways though... no offence to your photos!

I'm not usually a fan of slow-mo water shots - I prefer freeze-frame stuff when it comes to things like fountains, I like seeing how irregular the water flow and droplets actually are - but your slow-mo stuff is very nice.

    Loving #1 Nick lovely shots.

Not sure a about what the bobby said, surely its a public place open to all hence you don't need special permission?

Edit: No I was wrong evidently you do need permission for commercial stuff

I really like the first picture, equally impressed with 2 & 3 but those overgrown bushes are kind of in the way and obstructing a little I guess. But very beatiful waterfall pictures nonetheless and I love them. I wish I could take something like this with my A530. Any tip?
