One of the best HDR images I have ever seen

its ok, was either very windy and didn't have a stable tripod, or was shot handheld..

I like that. Does it remind anyone else of some of the scenes from Final Fantasy the movie?

Bobster ... what makes you think it was windy/no tripod/handheld?
Those building edges look pretty crisp to me, although given the altitude involved, you can be pretty certain there was at least a small breeze blowing.

Building that tall move with the wind. So even the steadiest tripod wont be rock-steady like on the ground.

HDR is a method of compositing several images taken a few stops apart into a 16bit/colour channel image whose contrast can then be adjusted so that you retain detail in both the highlights and shadows when it's converted back to 8bit channels for presentation.

There is a small amount of shadow detail in that pic, but nothing tremendously impressive.

To be fair, how many people would zoom into 100% and judge it anyway ? In night shots like this it's the colour that matter most and unless it's freaking blurry i guess no one care

    Primary kit:
    Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
    Epson RD-1

    Film Kit:
    Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2

    Olympus OM2n - Zuiko 50/2 Macro - Zuiko 50/1.4 - Zuiko 35/2.8

That is a great picture- it does not need to be technically perfect.

Not technically perfect but it's a gorgeous enough shot not to matter anyway.
