Gunky oil smacks of head gasket faliure to be honest. But if your not losing any water at all then that is strange.

Like Trig I only use Silconene Pro-S Race which is a very high quality fully synthetic oil and has been proven to me by the 200sx owners club oil tests to last 6000miles of mixed driving and serveral trackdays included without decay.

This is expensive though @ £40 odd quid per 5 litres. But the way I look at it is Oil is like Blood - I don't skimp on it.

How does one measure decay? or was that tested in a lab?
I thougth the main reson was for removing any crap that builds up in the oil - and that it doesnt really decay unless you let it overheat - driven hard from cold?

think I will stick to my £1.25 per liter bottles of no-name oil...
