    Clio Discs and Pads help!

    Hi everyone
    Thanks for reading this

My brakes are making a subtle but quite obvious gritty feeling when i brake and a low hoarse rubbing noise - especially bad on hills and when its cold. Occasionally the brake will 'jump' and almost skip past itself which lurches the car forward. Its done it 3 times in 3 weeks, all on hills
The back brake is also sticking when i release the hand break in the morning and it 'clunks' and releases to move

Ive been told this could be two things:
    More than likely both

1: The 'jumping' is the breakdown/wearing of the front pads and likely disks. Ive been told to see if they are below 5mm.. if they are i need new discs

2: The gritty feeling and sticky back breaks is likely a leaking cylinder... causing a glue like effect on the shoes.

My priority is to get the front dics and pads replaced. Which i can do by my local mechanic but have been asked to get the parts as he's slotting me in although he's booked up this week

Euro Car Parts list loads of different types.. can anyone tell me which discs i need? And which pads?

Its an 04 Clio Extreme (2)

    Thanks so much

    Jo

Do you know the vehicle type code? It is in the format (B|C|L|S)B[0-3][0-9A-Z].

Maybe it's one of these three:

    CB1C - Clio 172 Mk1
    CB0N - Clio 172
    CB1N - Clio 172 CUP
