Problem with Peugeot 306

Hi All, long time browser first time poster I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with there 306 as I am having? The big red STOP light on my dashboard keeps coming on randomly. It just seems to come on as I am driving and for varying amounts of time, sometimes it will flash, Sometimes it will come on for a second then be fine. The usual scenario is its on for about 2 minutes then it will go off for 10 mins then come on for a second then go off for 30 seconds then come on for 10 seconds or something like that. (it does seem to vary a lot even on a single journey) The car itself is running fine and no other lights are coming on. I did have a problem with the temperature getting really high but that was fixed and now the car runs at normal temperature. I have taken the car to two different garages one of which was a peugeot specialist and neither could find anything wrong. Any help would be appreciated Thanks and sorry for the rambling post |
