    radiator leak

    hi.....
iv got another problem with this 306 of mines....
    306 1400 n reg 5 door petrol manual

seems to have a minor radiator leak .....
has been leaking for a few days,
the level was under max ..
and now a few days later is about half way....
but the fluid thats leaked is weird.....
its kinda oily....clear...looks like food oil.....

i was told this could be the antifreeze and water mixed...

    is this normal ?
also has any1 had any experience with stuff such as wynns radiator stop leak or car-go seal up ?

    would u recommend this ?

seal up says its a permenant solution....

although a few mechanics have told me 2 get the radiator repaired or changed.....

    Lowe's system
Radseal isn't ideal - it's a bit of a bodge fix to be honest, enough to get you home. Yes you might be able to drive around on it for ever and a day, but a bodge is a bodge. Better to sort it properly - a 306 rad won't be much from GSF etc.

    yea true....
just had my uncle have a look at it....
and he suspects the head gaskets gone....
as 2 him thats the only the way the leaked fluid could be oily....

if its not....then i will get it changed.....
    £100 fitted...
worth it if i intend 2 keep the car...
