Vauxhall Frontera
Hi All, Need to change the sump gasket on a '94 frontera,been told its either the engine out or drop the front axle,don't fancy the engine out option so has anybody dropped an axle before and what sort of job might it be. Really would appreciate any thoughts on this as it does need doing but don't fancy having to pay garage prices as I'm pretty handy with spanners, thanks in advance, kev..

Hi Kev,
I changed a sump on a 1994 1.4 corsa sri, I know its a completely different car, but I'd imagine apart from the front axle its a similar operation. I reckon you'll be able to manage it if you've done similar jobs before, just alocate how much time you think it will take, then double it! ;-) |
