    Peugeot 306 Automatic Problems!!!!

I own a Peugeot 306 automatic which has a major problem!!!

When driving, the car will jolt and then on the dash board the Sport and Ice lights will flash. Whilst the car is doing this, it will not change gear but still moves forward.
To correct the problem you have to turn off the car and restart it.

The car works fine in placing it manually into second or third but now jolts and keeps flashing and will not change gear!!

    -----------------------------------------
The gearbox has been looked at by Professionals and no one can find anything wrong with it....

Anyone else have any suggestions please welcome!!!!!

    ECU: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_Control_Unit

One of the garages that has the peugeot diagnostics computer. They can plug into your engine and it tells them what the status of everything is.

Peugeot 306 Snow and sports lights Flashing

Were you able to resolve this problem. My wife's car has very similar symptoms and the dealer service people don't have a clue about what the cause might be.

    Re: Peugeot 306 Automatic Problems!!!!

My 306 is doing exactly the same as well - I've been quoted £1500 fora new gearbox by the dealer - but I'm fairly sure this is not the problem. Can you tell me if you resolved this, and if so, how?
