    Passat bulkhead

Ok peeps, I installed the front speakers in the Passat and I'm up to the point of wireing up the AMP.

I need to know if anyone has managed to feed a power cable through the bulkhead of a 1998 Passat? I cant seem to find any free gromits to feed through, I'm sure I will when I have a good look, but to save time, has anyone done this before?

    Thanks
    Jon

I managed to remove the glove box last night, enableing me to get a better view on the rear of the dash. Hopefully this should allow me to feed the power cable through easier.

Just in case anyones interested.... ;-)

    Further update:

I managed to fit the RCA leads and remote cable last night, just need the power cable (which is gonna be an arse) and ground cable fitting, then I'm ready for the AMP, woohoo!

    :-D

not much to see yet mate, I'll upload some when I've got the kit installed. At the moment it looks comletely factory (I've hidden the cables well), apart from the Alpine head unit.

I'll upload some soon though, I'm hoping to have the job finished either tonight or tomorrow.

Another update, I managed to put the power cable through a gromit under the pollen filter (in case anyone else has a Passat and is fitting an amp! :-P).

Finished at 10.45pm last night, was gutted when I didnt have a forked crimp to plug the power into the terminal on the amp... DOH!

Sraight to Halfords after work me thinks! :-)
