Hi guys!
I have a couple of questions regarding my J Reg 1.4 deisel Citron AX. one concerning a blown head gasket. first things first tho, I have managed to lose my key and not sure if I will be able to find the spare. I was just wondering, If I cant find the spare key what is my best bet to get a replacement? Thanks for your help |

You'll probably need to go see a Citron dealer. I don't know if you'll need to take the car there (e.g. get it put on a trailer), or if they will send someone out. But they should definitely be able to help you out at a dealer.

Get down the local scrapyard for a lockset, to buy new wouldn't be worth it. With regards to the headgasket. they're easy enough to do but whatever you do, DON'T turn the engine over with the head removed. IIRC they're a wet liner engine and you'll be up **** creek without a paddle.

Thanks for your help guys!
harry1: your probably right, but I have my reasons why I need to get the car back up and running. Im pretty sure its 1.4, its a Citroen AX Echo. jon bda: thanks for the advise about locksets, will have a look around for one, will also contact dealer to compare prices. regarding the head gasket, as I am a complete novice with cars (Ive nether worked with cars before, apart from changing a tyre ofcourse! ) is there any guides or instructions I should be reading as I dont have a clue what I should be doing, but I believe the Cam belt will need removing so I will need to know how to do that aswell.thanks for your help |
