    Hi scottlee37,

I recently had my belt tensioner changed in my 1998 VW Passat 1.9TDi, but the garage fitted the unit for me.

I'm not sure about the Movano, but the unit in my Passat has a spring on the coil to keep the belt tight, so no adjustment was needed after the initial fitting. Are you sure adjustment is needed on this unit?

Probably will be different for yours, but I have been waiting for a nice sunny week (where my garage floor is not one huge puddle) so I can change the belt on my M reg fiesta.

I am told for mine there is a socket on the automatic tensioner, which I have yet to locate. The belt on mine is gradually getting louder so I am hoping it doesn't snap before we get some sun.
